Val,
I use a open source viewer called VLC from VideoLan
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

When Steve converted the AVI to MP4, he was converting into a format
that's more widely acceptable. The AVI protocol may not be natively
read on a computer and the first, most obvious program to handle it is
Quicktime and there have been issues when installing that. I would
support Steve in his choice and recommend MP4. It's a compact format
that has the greatest chance of being viewed successfully. However, not
everyone has the ability to make MP4 so I would suggest that we continue
to work with and view whatever format is sent to the list, supporting
each other and making recommendations as necessary to succeed.

Bill

What are the video formats that are the best, do you all think, that would make it possible for us to all communicate by video better? Once we establish what video players we all use, maybe we can suggest certain video formats for the List communication...
