Er... No...
I use the
SW-Edit.
Very hands, in the SW-Edit, is not actualized.

Yes, good point,
Charles. The newer icons, in SignPuddle, have the double-lined circles now….
[log in to unmask]" height="92" width="92">
…but the old icons on our older web sites, have the older symbols because those icons were created with older software - so there is a lot to update. Thanks for pointing that out to me and I will try to get to updating the old icons...
But this is my very point….If Yuri uses SignPuddle Online to create his new signs, this will help me and everyone, because he will be using the new symbols and plus, when we discuss SignSpellings we can all share together and visit the Brazilian SignPuddle and read Yuri's signs and we can share different ways to write -
So Yuri, have you used SignPuddle Online before?
Val

Looking in your clip below, the sign for SEARCH is using the old SW symbols not the double line arched arrow. Will this be updated soon? From: Valerie Sutton <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2012

Hello Maria! Yes, of course I will share everything with the List and with you…
I know you are waiting for information, and I am slow to update my web sites, so let's start with searching our current SignWriting web site…
I realize you probably know this already, but not everyone does…
To search the SignWriting and Sutton
web sites, click on the Search button at the top of our sites:
See attached diagram… 1. Click on Search Button at top of site. 2. type in your search criteria 3. Click Search. 4. You will get a Google listing, with ads at the top, but under the ads, are links on all Sutton sites…and they usually list for pages and pages - sometimes 10 pages of Google listings - so there are some good links there you may not know about - try several different search words to see what you find - we have over 3000 web pages, so there is a lot to search -
More soon - Val ;-)

Hello Charles and Andre -
Yes. These are good examples, and also, I know of others too…Because some
may not want their email address posted publicly on the List, I will
contact some of them privately to see, and then
get back to you, Andre,
with their contact information…
There are, as far as I know, classrooms that use Sign Languages with
SignWriting, and spoken languages, in a bi-lingual manner, in several
other schools - In the US in the past at the Albuquerque Public Schools in
New Mexico (the program has closed, but the teachers may be available for
presenting about their past program), and for several years in both
French-speaking and Flemish-speaking Belgium and in Brazil there are
specific classrooms that I recently learned about…new ones I never heard
of
before...and of course Stefan Woehrmann in Germany - Stefan's work is
so amazing - and I understand that there is a new program starting in
Slovenia, and Lucy has been teaching a program in Poland classrooms of
Deaf children too - that is an exciting one - and deserves more
attention….smile..
So I will get back to you, Andre, with a listing - at least of those I
know about - and for all those who are teaching using SignWriting - please
speak up and tell us about your projects here on the List - we all need
your inspiration and information so we can move forward with our
own
programs - it is good to know about other projects -
Have a great day - it is springtime here and the flowers are blooming - we
need Stefan's camera to capture the beauty of the flowers on film ;-))
Val ;-)

Subject: Looking for other teachers who teach bilingual documents to
Deaf students
Hi everyone,
Centre Jules-Léger (a school for the deaf in Ottawa, Canada)
will
celebrate its 25th anniversary in May 2012. The committee
invited me to give a presentation. During one hour, i will talk
about the bridge between a written LSQ (SW) and a written French.
I am looking for a teacher who would explain how to deal with
bilingual documents (written sign language and written spoken
language), how to improve the biliteracy in both
the spoken
language and the signed language for Deaf students "EVERYDAY"
(not sometimes). Does anyone know names of the teacher? Could
the teacher speak English or French?
I know Stefan Woehrmann. I am looking for other teachers. Does
anyone know James Kegl's email address?
Best
regards,
André
