We are happy to help. I see that Charles has already answered you - Thank you, Charles. To answer your first question, about the sign id00007. The sign needs to have a Right Arrow and a Left Arrow. It is incorrect to write a General Arrow, that is neither right nor left. Why? Because the General Arrow does not represent "both hands". The General Arrow represents "overlapping movement paths". There is a clear explanation of Overlapping Paths in the book: "SignWriting Basic Instruction Manual" which can be downloaded here: SignWriting Lessons Online http://www.signwriting.org/lessons/ It is number 1 on that web page. Here is the link for download: SignWriting Basics Instruction Manual http://www.signwriting.org/archive/docs6/sw0550-SignWriting-Manual-Part1-Basics.pdf Go to page 39 in the PDF, which is really numbered page 34 in the document. Here is a screen capture of the explanation attached. In the sign id0007, the movements of the two hands do not overlap each other…they paint two separate right and left movement paths… Val ;-) Valerie Sutton SignWriting List moderator [log in to unmask] Post Messages to the SignWriting List: [log in to unmask] SignWriting List Archives & Home Page http://www.signwriting.org/forums/swlist Join, Leave or Change How You Receive SW List Messages http://listserv.valenciacollege.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=SW-L&A=1 Valerie Sutton [log in to unmask] SignWriting Read & Write Sign Languages http://www.SignWriting.org SignPuddle Online Write SignWriting in the Clouds!
