Thank you for posting your new SignWriting PDF document written in Arabic and Tunisian Sign Language. I will post it on the SignWriting web site later and will send you all a link for download.
I would say that it is "based on the book A Cross-Linguistic Guide to SignWriting by Stephen and Dianne Parkhurst, with some changes and new sign examples made by translator & SignWriting teacher Mohammed Dali Balti"….
It is not an exact translation of the Parkhurst's original book. There are enough changes that it cannot be called an exact translation.
Thank you, Dali, for all you are doing for SignWriting in Tunisia - This is a wonderful gift to your students and the world -
I am not surprised that your students are grateful for the book - This is just what they need of course!
Hello dear brothers and sisters!!!
As you have been told by dear Valérie, I have been translating a SW Manual into Arabic, and I have made some change in the manual: some handshapes changed, arrowa movements, contacts, pictures, and I used Tunisian Signs instead of those being used in the book, so that Tunisians might read it and understand it!!!
I did not expect Sign Language teachers in Tunisia to be very happy to start reading the manual, they are messaging me and thanking me for the book, my students too, they find it very useful and helpful!!! :D
Here I made some corrections to the book I sent previously to dear Valerie, and I wish that you excuse me for my mistakes, please use only this book which I have attached, and I hope that dear Valerie includes it on the Tunisian Lessons, so it might be accessible to every one!!!!
