I have never understood anything but the Parkhurst rule. I follow the thumb side pointing inward when the hand is turned forward and down. I look at a photograph, if I can't lay my hands down on the photo and show the thumb on the correct side, there is a serious problem. I understand the sign to show the water flowing over a rock or a precipie of some sort. The water then is represented by the right hand and the rock or whatever by the left hand. If my understanding of the Tunisian sign is wrong, I appologize Ingvild ________________________________ Date: Mon, 30 Dec 2013 04:23:08 -0800 From: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: One sign difficult writing To: [log in to unmask] I can't read the first sign in your sentence as the left-hand fingers are pointed to the left and my hand just doesn't twist that way. Is there some reason the curl of the fingers is draped over the left way when the right hand is going over the top? This makes no sense. The last three I can read well. The first sign…do you mean for the cupped hand to be the left hand? If it is a left hand, then I believe it needs to be flopped? Tell us more about that sign… Yes, I agree the Tunisian sign is harder to write…. smile... ________________________________________________ SIGNWRITING LIST INFORMATION Valerie Sutton SignWriting List moderator [log in to unmask] Post Messages to the SignWriting List: [log in to unmask] SignWriting List Archives & Home Page http://www.signwriting.org/forums/swlist Join, Leave or Change How You Receive SW List Messages http://listserv.valenciacollege.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=SW-L&A=1 ________________________________________________ SIGNWRITING LIST INFORMATION Valerie Sutton SignWriting List moderator [log in to unmask] Post Messages to the SignWriting List: [log in to unmask] SignWriting List Archives & Home Page http://www.signwriting.org/forums/swlist Join, Leave or Change How You Receive SW List Messages http://listserv.valenciacollege.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=SW-L&A=1 ________________________________________________ SIGNWRITING LIST INFORMATION Valerie Sutton SignWriting List moderator [log in to unmask] Post Messages to the SignWriting List: [log in to unmask] SignWriting List Archives & Home Page http://www.signwriting.org/forums/swlist Join, Leave or Change How You Receive SW List Messages http://listserv.valenciacollege.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=SW-L&A=1 ________________________________________________ SIGNWRITING LIST INFORMATION Valerie Sutton SignWriting List moderator [log in to unmask] Post Messages to the SignWriting List: [log in to unmask] SignWriting List Archives & Home Page http://www.signwriting.org/forums/swlist Join, Leave or Change How You Receive SW List Messages http://listserv.valenciacollege.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=SW-L&A=1 ________________________________________________ SIGNWRITING LIST INFORMATION Valerie Sutton SignWriting List moderator [log in to unmask] Post Messages to the SignWriting List: [log in to unmask] SignWriting List Archives & Home Page http://www.signwriting.org/forums/swlist Join, Leave or Change How You Receive SW List Messages http://listserv.valenciacollege.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=SW-L&A=1
