I was lucky to know Patrice on September 2011. We were co-tutoring the PHD of Fabrizio about the creation of electronic tools to handle SignWriting more easily. Unfortunately, that was the first and last time that I saw him, but I could appreciate his enthusiasm, his expertise and most of all his way of approaching people. He was introduced to me by another great person that passed away too early, Elena Pizzuto, and when we met in person she was already gone. They were very good friends, and my great sorrow is to have had too little time to spend with them and to learn from them. I can only imagine the sorrow of his family and in particular of Juliette, who was so close to him. Juliette, I love you even if I never met you. Be strong and continue your great work.
