And yet, I find the sign for "alegre" (happy) as much more readable with four distinct brush strokes. Look at the last sign in the sequence. This sign was written by Madson with two brush strokes for each hand in pairs as they are quite distinct.   Charles Butler

I agree. The simpler writing is preferable. Natasha

Hi Madson,  if you look at the signsin the German SignPuddle – I write the signs with only one „brush, rub,“  andif there are movement arrows the reader would have no problem to understandthat this brush or rub is meant for all of them.  I prefer this spelling;-) Have a good day Stefan  Von: SignWritingList: Read and Write Sign Languages [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Im Auftrag von Madson Barreto

Betreff: We need use double BrushSymbol? Hi, Valerie, Adam, Ingvild, Stefan and everyone, In the SignPuddle have double and triple Symbol Touch (We don't talkabout Star Touch, just Brush and Rub). To date we don't use triple...    We are perceive that the single BrushSymbol is so complete as double Brushin the signs that have two or more movements. In our daily writing, publications, andour students has perceive that too.  >> Seems that use single Brush touch is too fine and clear as usejust single Rub Symboleven in repetitive movements signs. Yesterday I search the ASL Wikipedia articles and found it. In somecases, the Brush symbolwas hidden. See:    Brush Touch Symbol hidden:  Examples of single Rub Symbol in repetitive movements signs in Libras. We never use two Rub for this signs:           What do you thing about?
