SignWriting List May 15, 2015 Way cool!! Wow, Yair - this has great potential. Adam pointed out that it works best in the Wikimedia Incubator, so I went to this web page: http://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex/Wp/ase/ <http://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex/Wp/ase/> and I … 1. clicked on the web page 2. clicked on the bookmark 3. clicked on the web page again 4. clicked on the Search Text Field 5. the keyboard came up in the right bottom corner 6. I typed two symbols and pressed Enter for Search 7. and voila, I found the search…very cool! Thank you ;-) Please see attached diagrams…it works better in Wikimedia Incubator than on Google Search because on the Wikimedia Incubator site the symbols can at least be seen when you type them…even though they look like they are outside the Text Field because they are too big for the Text Field… On the Google Search Page they disappeared completely although you could see a tiny tip of a few fingers that were sticking up more than the others, the symbols themselves could not fit into the Text Field because they are too large - But the search still gave us the FSW code in both places - Google and Wikimedia Incubator - See attached screen captures from Wikimedia Incubator: ________________________________________________ SIGNWRITING LIST INFORMATION Valerie Sutton SignWriting List moderator [log in to unmask] Post Messages to the SignWriting List: [log in to unmask] SignWriting List Archives & Home Page http://www.signwriting.org/forums/swlist Join, Leave or Change How You Receive SW List Messages http://listserv.valenciacollege.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=SW-L&A=1
