An exciting event. And I already know of some new conference rooms, that I just saw Tuesday evening, that are 8 steps from La Jolla Shores Beach….complete conference rooms with all the equipment necessary to have a wonderful conference, with a delightful cafe nearby and each room has its own patio and grill overlooking the water... It is near the La Jolla Scripps Oceanography Research area connected with UCSD (University of California at San Diego) in La Jolla. Watching the surfers through a big picture window while we are trying to concentrate on creating Wikipedias in many sign languages, may be a fun challenge - ha! So we are aiming for the SignWriting Symposium taking place in La Jolla California July 2014… no matter what building houses the event ... Can any of you come? My question is…do you want to be here to watch the fireworks on the beach for the American celebration of the Fourth of July? (our Independence Day)? Or would you prefer mid July? End of July? Here are some possible dates… June 30 - July 4 or July 7 - July 11 or July 14 - July 18 Would you like a one-week Symposium? Or longer? If you are traveling from Brazil or Italy or Malta or…. there is jet lag and you may want some time to see San Diego before and after? Love your feedback!
