Hello André, and
sw-list friends
Your question: “
3) I wonder if I can transfer from a spoken language text (Microsoft Word) to
that very same spoken language text in the Delegs software. Question 3: If so,
it would be a wonderful software & I would like to learn how to use it.”
My answer:
Yes you can copy and
paste any text from Microsoft Word documents ...and I do that every day. So in
front of the class we type spoken language and in order to support the deafstudents in their efforts to learn spoken language we copy these sentences
(Strg + C) ... we open the delegs-Editor ... new document with the given
dictionary in the background.

The cursor shows up in
the first “search-word-box” just type “Strg + V” ... now
you see that box by box – term by term – you find the signs that
are already stored in your dictionary with all the variations for any sign.
Within a very short
time you can prepare worksheets for your students ... or you may give them the
opportunity to work online with your document..;-)
Do not hesitate to ask
... if there is something you want to know about this.
All best
Stefan

Hi
Stefan and everyone,
Stefan, I have three
questions for you:
1) It concerns a cake
recipe. I wrote the first sign given for‘EN
ALTERNANT’ (ALTERNING) in SignPuddle (Quebec). Please,
have a look at the first and second signs: http://www.signbank.org/signpuddle2.0/searchword.php?ui=4&sgn=47&sid=3540,4807&sTrm=en-alternant&type=any&sTxt=&sSrc=
I noticed that the
sign box for the first sign is limited in the Delegs software because some SW
symbols are missing at the
bottom. Therefore, I had to change the second sign. Question 1: Could
the first sign be placed in a full sign box from the Delegs software?
2) The document that
exists in the Delegs software is called ‘Gâteau
à la Jeannette’ (1) (Jeannette cake). You will find the
attached document. Stefan asked me if I knew that I can save my spoken
language text as a word document. No, I did not know that. Question 2: Using
the Delegs software, I would like to learn how to transfer such a bilingualdocument (a SW sign language and a spoken language text) to a spoken language
text in a word document (i.e. Microsoft Word).
3) I wonder if I can
transfer from a spoken language text (Microsoft Word) to that very same spoken
language text in the Delegs software. Question 3: If so, it would be a
wonderful software & I would like to learn how to use it.
Best regards,
André

Hi
André,
I
am so sorry to read your message.
Well
– the problem might be that these documents are saved in a “public
area” and the author is “unknown” ...
So
anybody would be able to open your document and to change the content just as
he wants to ...as long as you are not a registered user.
I
would like to discuss this with our team. I am really sorry that your document
has been deleted by some idiot!
All
best
Stefan

Hi
Stefan,
Using
the Delegs program (LSQ) last week, I already saved a document called
‘Jeannette’. And I did verify it. It was fine. I worked a lot on
that document. Today, I am very upset because when I double clicked on
‘Jeannette’
(Espace
public (Public area)), all SW symbols and words have disappeared. I mean that
pages are blank. What happens?
Best
regards,
André
